Post 8: Personal Opinions

Hi blogger! How are you? I hope you having a good week. Today is the last day of English class!, therefore this is my last post…
The theme of this blog has been choose by me, and I want to talk you about the Chilean cinema. Chile is a country where to dedicate to be an artist- for example musician, filmmaker, painter or actor- is very difficult, because our society is bassed on a neoliberal system, where the most important (and maybe the only thing) object is to make money. Therefore, the incentive and support to the art since the government is very poor.
Despite the difficulties, in Chile are a lot of very good artists, who have managed to stand out thanks to their personal effort. An example of this is the filmmakers of “Historia de un oso”, who won the first Oscar for Chile. However, this is an exceptional case, because the most of artist fail to develop their art, and it’s not for lack of talent, but it is due to the poor artistic culture that Chilean society has.
On the other hand, I want to tell you something that I think is unfair about Chilean cinema. If you pay attention, in Netflix are some movies from Chile, but there are nefarious films, and they don’t deserve to be on said platform. I’m convinced that this happened because the filmmakers are friend of the correct people…
By last, I invite you to support the Chilean artists, by going to watch their films, going to concerts of Chilean musicians, giving a money to the street performer, going to theater, and above all respecting their art and lifestyle, because you have to be very brave to be an artist in this country.
Well, that was my last post, and I hope that you think about this theme…  Bye bloggers, I see you in another life! Haha.

Post 6: Change to my study program

Hello bloggers, I hope that you are having a good week! Today I'll talk about my study program.
Regarding the teacher's comment about English in university careers, I’m completely agree, because I’m finishing my english courses, and honestly I do not feel prepared to get out to the world speaking english.
Well, going back to the theme of the post, forestry is a carreer that has mutated over the years, owingt to the social, economic and cultural changes of the world. At the beggining it has a career focused mainly to production of wood in plantations of exotic species. Nowadays, this profession has broadened his focus, emphasizing on ecology, sustainability and conservation of nature. In this context was created my actual study program.
Until now, I have had very differents subject, like botanic, economy, physics, chemistry, socioeconomy, biometrics, genetics, etc. This shows how wide and varied is forestry. One of the things that I most like of my study program is that we apply everything learned in field trips, and we know many types of forests and the complexity of their structure.
One of the changes that would make the study program is to add more social branches, because I think they are a very useful tool to use our knowledge for the benefit of people, and generate a harmony (or something like that) with the environment.
On the other hand, I can’t skip the quiality of the professors, because many of them have degrees of magisters and doctorates, and are experts in the subjects that teach.

Well, that was my post 6, have a good week Friends!

Post 7: English lenguage challenges

Hi bloggers, this is one of the last posts of the year (maybe of the life haha), and I'll talk about my experience in english class. Well, I really like the class of morning fridays, because there are a relax ambient, and I can speak and listen about differents themes whit my classmates, like music, money, forestry themes, bombs and terrorism, etc. Also we write a blog every weeks, and I really like this, because I can practice my writing. However, there has been some boring posts to me, because I don't like the themes. On the other hand, there has been some posts that I liked it a lot, because it makes me think a lot about those themes, like the post about music or the post of type of plants.
I think that my english is very poor, because my vocabulary is short and limited. However, I believe that I can raise my english level reading, talking and practicing everyday. One of the things that have helped me (and I love to do) is watching series and movies in english. About my listening level, I think that is normal, but is very difficult to me the British accent, because they don’t modulate very well (or is so different of american accent). I think that I should see more British series… haha!
I just remembered something funny (and shameful 😑)whit my english! When I’m alone in home, I talk whit myself in english, and imagine infinite and exaggerated dialogues hahaha! I hope that no one has seen me doing that…
Well Friends, that was my weekly post, I hope you enjoyed it.

Post 5: My Future Job

Hello bloggers, today I'll talk about  My future job.
When i was a child I dreamed of being a soccer player haha! I remember I spent all day playing in the street with my friends, and when it was time to go in, I got very angry. Also I wanted to be a Doctor, but the blood is very disgusting to me... 😞
When I was at High school I was so confused, because I like a lot of areas. I thought about studying history for a long time, actually, It was my favourite subject. On the other hand, I started playing and studying music in my free time, however, I never thought about studying a formal career related to music. Finally I decided to study forestry because I love to be in the middle of nature, and observe the infinity of details in the forests.
When I think in my future, I would like to have time to do other activities (apart from work), like read, play music, play soccer, visit parks and museums, etc. Therefore, my perfect job would be one in which I have leisure time, spend a lot of time on the ground, and where I have a good work environment. I think that I don't ask much haha!

Well, that was my post... What would be your perfect job? Have a good week <3

Theme 4: Types of plants

Hi bloggers, today I will talk about types of plants. Well,  I must admit that in my life I never felt a great attraction towards plants, however, since I started studying forestry, I discovered an incredible world! I am impressed by the wide diversity of plant types that exist, and the mechanisms they use to be able to live in certain environments. If you pay atenttion when you walk through the city, you can find plants that grow between the pavement, demonstrating the adaptability that plants have, overcoming hostile environments such as the city, pollution and the transit of people and vehicles.
I don't know if I have a favourite type of plant, nevertheless I have favourite types of forests! In first position I put the Araucaria forest. This type of forest could be thousands of years old! also, the landscapes it composes are spectacular.
On the other hand, I like to take care of the plants in my house, I water them daily, transplanter them, prune them and cut the brush if it is necessary. My favourite plant in my garden is Maqui, because it is a survivor! When I brought the plant home, I transplanted it, but soon after was attacked by bugs that ate the leaves. I thought that Maqui was dead ☹️. However, I continued water it daily. Some days ago, Maqui started began to reboun! I was very happy when I saw that haha.
I think that we can create a bond whit plants... they are really alive!

I hope you enjoyed my post, and... Do you have a garden? What is you favourite plant?
Have a good week! <3

Post 3: Music

Post 3: Music

Hi bloggers, today I'll talk about a theme that I really love: Music. The music and everything that encompasses is a fascinating world, from musical instruments, genres, singer and bands, to the culture and the social changes that is capable of generating.
At the moment that I have to choose wich music to listen to, I don't have prejudices because I think that all the music is created with a propose, like entertain, express feelings, ambience musically, protest, etc. Nevertheless, I have my favourites music genres, singers and bands. My favourites genres are Punk, Reggae, Indie, Folk, Rock and Pop. My favourites singers are Angelo Escobar, Alex Anwandter and many more that I don't remember now haha!. My favourites bands are Dos minutos, Ases Falsos, Los Cafres, Pearl jam, The smiths, Radiohead and I could mention many other bands that I like, but I don't think that you have time and pacienty to read them all haha. I want to mention that I really like Chilean music, especially the new chilean music, and I recommend you listen to bands like Niños del cerro, Tecnicas manuales, and the band where I play guitar Estación Filgueira haha! 🙈
Actually I am discovering the world of trap, and honestly it has cost me, because there are many bad singers! However, I have found several good artists, like Drake, Tyler the creator, The weeknd, and from Latin America: Gianluca, Pablo Chill-e, Bad bunny.
Moreover, I want to invite you to open your mind, spirit and ears to discover the world through music! Comment on any band that you like to recommend!

Post 1: A country I'd like to visit

I love to travel, and I want to know Chile all over its territory. But if you ask me about other countries that I want to visit, my first though will be Iceland. One of the reason why I want to visit Iceland is its natural beauties. This country is an Island located in the northwest of Europe, and it's characterized by its landdscapes composed of volcanes, glaciers, waterfalls, and places whitout traced routes. However, i want to go to Iceland to see the northern lights... I think that would be an amazing experience!
Another reason to visit Iceland is its political organization, and its culture. This country doesn't has army, and its habitants have a spectacular quality of life. One of its policies is to force companies to have equal salaries for men and women. It's an egalitarian country!
Otherwise Iceland is, in addition to one of the most geologically recent places on earth, one of the last places to be colonized. Also, the country has a rich history that dates back to the times of Vikings!

I would love to know Iceland, and Why not... stay to live here.
